InsideOut

Main two concepts of my project are “weightiness” and Interior/Exterior.”

Frist, the weightiness represents the tiredness of the day by four different density papers to show the level of the tiredness of the day. Therefore, to show the clearest time of the day by the see-through clear paper and used the Dark black paper to symbolizes the most tried time which I feel heavy the most.

Then, the interior and exterior represent “my space” and “out of my space” as using different colour of paper. It shows the dark density of paper is my own space where I fell sleep and light paper is the out of my space which represent waking time of day.

Abstract writing

When exploring lights and dark in designing interior, why people think the light coming from out side first? Sunlight’s are on for only half of the day, and people are less exposed to sunlight then light from artificial lights.

For this sleep/wake project, I explore the lights that going out from the building in each window. Due to the time I sleep and wake I chose to design the place when it works at night time/dark time, because my self sleeps late and wake up late. From the last work I carry on with the idea which is using different density of paper to showing feelings and emotions, so this time I choose to use colors (Rainbow), because each colour represent different feelings and emotions, also I choose rainbow because it contains seven colours which it showed similarity with a week (seven day). In addition, thinking of something that shows up at night; I came out idea of using “Neon Sign”.
